Organizing 'occasional' stuff

For easy access to things you use occasionally – often enough to keep but not so often that you need to keep them inside the house, you can use a small plastic set of drawers. These are a great way to keep lots of smaller items in one place and not scattered about and under foot. I saw a three-drawer set for about $15 the other day at Walmart – that’s a bargain. They aren’t stylish and gorgeous and they won’t last forever, but they are a great way to organize things in a hall closet, the garage, attic or basement – like putting all those small gardening tools in one place…gloves, clippers, small trowels, extra spray nozzles for the garden hose. Plastic drawer sets can also be a great place to store games and toys and because plastic is very washable, this is a great alternative for parents with young children — and it won’t bust your budget.
